Hello, it’s me: Fantasy Favourites Read-a-thon Introduction Post

Hi guys! I’m going to be participating in the Fantasy Favourites Read-a-thon hosted by Inge and Aly of Of Wonderland and Olivia of Olivia’s Catastrophe. I’m super excited to participate, especially since fantasy is my favorite genre. Today I will be doing my introduction post, so for those new here, I hope this will help you get to know me better!

Who are you?

My name is Isabella, and my blog is called The Book Pandas!

Why are you joining the read-a-thon?

I love fantasy and these are three of my favorite book series, so I couldn’t pass up this chance! Also, I love participating in read-a-thons because they motivate me to read even more!

Which books do you intend to read?

I have a super long TBR list right now, but I don’t know how quickly I’ll get through it, so the number of books and which books really depends. I will definitely be rereading these three series though!

How many pages do you think you’ll manage?

Again, see above, but since I’m rereading, I’m hoping to get through a total of 20 books.

What’s your favourite thing about the fantasy genre?

I love being transported to different worlds, especially where there are varying types of powers and/or magic. I find that the world-building in the fantasy genre is usually the most creative and awe-inspiring, and I love that feeling of escape.

Which fantasy books do you always recommend?

The list goes on and on, but for starters: Harry Potter, all of Rick Riordan’s Books, all of Leigh Bardugo’s books, all of Sarah J. Maas’ books, all of Cassandra Clare’s books, the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa, the Splintered series by A.G. Howard, The School for Good and Evil series by Soman Chainani, and Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.

Which fantasy books are you dying to read?

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater is high priority on my list!

If you could travel to one fantasy world, which one would it be?

Idris! Or just the Shadow World in general. Something about it being hidden in plain sight makes it more appealing, and there are so many fabulous Shadowhunters and Downworlders. Velaris too also sounds like an amazing place to be!

Nice to meet you, Isabella! I am in awe of your reading goal, but I love the fact that you’ll be reading all three series. That’s dedication to our noble cause right there πŸ˜‰ Does that mean you’ll be doing all the challenges as well?
